3 of the bucks on my '09 hit list
due to the downright pitifull '08 season here in SE Ohio, worst season i have ever experienced in my hunting career, the '09 season is shaping up to be great one. my area of Ohio holds big bucks but this years crop is one of the best i have seen in several years. in fact, it's the first time in 5 years that when it comes to the bucks, quality and quanity have finally combined again. don't get me wrong, there are plenty of young small bucks running around but the the # of bucks scoring 120 inches and bigger around my hunting area is possibly as high as it has ever been.
anyways, i have about 6 bucks on my '09 hit list this year, 3 have eluded me with camera in hand, 2 enjoy having there pic taken and one has only awarded me with one pic. this is the first season in 11 years that i have not had a trail cam, so scouting efforts are more grueling than ever, every evening for 3 hours, no if's and's or but's. here are 3 of the bucks on my hit list this season. the first is a nice 10 point i have been watching for 2 seasons now and he's ripe for the takin' this year. the next 2 pics are of an 9 point that is somewhat short on tines but has a very large overall frame to his rack with long mainbeams, about a 22-23 inch spread and good mass, this is the only pic i have been able to capture of him. and the last 2 pics are of another pretty good 9 point that loves his corn and beans. hopefully i will be able to get the other 3 on camera soon, 1 of those will likely touch the 190"+ mark. as soon as i catch them on camera, ya'll will be the first to know about it!!! i apologize for picture quality but ya'll know big bucks don't come out to it's almost too late!!!
