Anybody ever use the National Geographic TOPO series programs for the computer? likes, dislikes, tips, anything would be great as far as reviews. Thanks ahead of time
Here is my review of the Nat Geo Topo CD roms. I love them. I use google earth and I also use my Garmin Rino software as well. I use google to scout and see the sat images, I install the topo maps I am going to use on the Garmin Rino. So now the Nat Geo Map Software is used to print the area I am going to hunt and a reference for using while I am on Google earth and then they go in my pack. I like the clarity and the tools that the Nat Geo maps have. You can get all the way down to a 7.5 maps with great detail. If you get some of the waterproof/tearproof paper the maps can take the hunting abuse. You can print off all the maps you need for your self and for your hunting party. Very good in my opinion. I have Califonia and Arizona and will buy the other states I need if and or when I get to hunt in them. If you have any questions shoot me a PM and I will get back to you. Kurt
I use huntgpsmaps.com. They have an overlay for Google Earth. It is amazing!
