Well, the fat lady sang for our crew last weekend, but we didn't go down without a tough fight.  We were on the hill glassing for that last minute buck to make a mistake, but he never showed himself.  We had an amazing season with so many great times, laughs and memories made to last a lifetime......or at least until next season!

Wifey and I started offin the spring on the central coast chasing those wiley gobblers around.  We had great success.  She got one and I ended up with 2.

Shortly after the turkey chase, we found ourselves at the CBH State Broadhead Championships at Tejon Ranch.  I did my normal so so performance.  My highlight was watching my wife take the womens division in comanding fashion.  I was a mess!  Congratulations babe!!

Next up, I found myself scouting hard for my Arizona archery elk hunt.  I scouted my tail off and had found some smoker bulls.  We ended up done a couple hours in to opening day.  With the amazing calling from Bruce and Eric, a nice bull ended up coming by me at 35 yds. that I didn't have the will power to pass.  He died withing 30 yds.  No regrets.  We had an awesome time before, during and after this hunt!!

Enter the late Arizona archery deer season.  We started off hard after it in December.  Lots of close calls for Bruce, Eric and Lorie but no blood.  I had killed a buck last January, so I was purely on glassing duties.

January comes around and it's on!  Wifey ends up on the hill with Bruce and Eric while I'm hanging out down low with our daughter.  Wifey glassed up a nice buck, made a great stalk and a great shot on him!  Her first late season deer with the bow!  Congrats babe!!!

After many close calls for the rest of us, I draw the short straw to stalk a nice 4x4 buck that we had bedded.  I snuck in to 40 yds. to have him stand up straight on to me.  I made a perfect 40 yd. shot and followed the craziest blood trail I have probably ever trailed about 60 yds. to my buck.  Couldn't have done it without the help of these best friends and my wife!  Until next year!!!
