I am a Muzzy MX3 guy. Im shooting around 285 fps. Wac'em make a good head. I am not a big mechanicals fan. I lost two bulls with the Rage.

Grim Reaper razor tip or razor cut 1 3/8". Great broadheads! I shoot 435grs of arrow though and that's my deer, elk, moose, bear set up.

Lost a 210" whitetail last year due to BH tuning issues and a shitty rest. I don't think I will be going back to fixed blades any time soon..... that miss still hurts.

I was using the G5 drop away. I cant remember the name..... The windage adjustment is real cheap...I had everything dialed my broadheads were shooting to field tips. I went out and killed my mulie spot and stalk then headed to the mountains to chase sheep with a rifle. I came home shot my field tips every few days for practice and never flew broadheads. Shot at that gagger buck and came up with a grazing shot. Couldn't believe I missed everything felt right?!?! The next day I flew broadheads and noticed I was 6" to the right of my field points @30yrds. My broadheads were flying like junk. I was so frustrated......No one to blame but myself!!!! Always check your equipment!!!! Now I only shoot after market strings and high quality rests. I don't blame the broadheads at all but now I've switched to grim reapers to try and simplify everything. I now shoot either QAD's or trophy taker's on my bows. The trophy taker is bullet proof it seems like and the QAD is super nice to keep and arrow nocked. Totally my screw up and a tough lesson to learn it through on a once in a lifetime animal. I still tune my bows but knowing if something happens out in the bush the expandables are alot easier to get to shoot to the point of impact of a field point than a broadhead.

Not sure if this rambling makes sense but that's my explanation why I shoot expandables and fell in love with them after two killing shots on large animals(Elk,Northern Alberta Whitetail)

tried the G5 T3 and was not impressed, the blades only stay open from forword momentum thru animal, that was a complete bummer, they should deploy and stay locked open. SO back to Montecs  out of the matrix bout 295fps with FOBs

I use an assortment of broadheads for hunting big game. My favorites are the G5 Montec and Magnus Stinger. Im not into the whole mechanical broadhead hype. I like the saying "Keep it simple, stupid." If it works, then don't change it. I've used Muzzy broadheads and they are okay. They just seem a little weak to me. I've had muzzy blades break off while going through a target. I recently won a few Crimson Croc broadheads in a drawing and I've only used them in target practice. They are crazy accurate but I've seen reviews questioning their strength and reliability. I use 125 gr braodheads. I have an older bow so I'm shooting at about 250 fps but it gets the job done.

Im lovin the VPA 3 blade....I use to shoot the G5 Montechs for a long time....got sick of the cheap pot meatal always breaking off at the ferral....these VPAs are no joke...built out of a soilid block of tool grade steel...they are tough as hell. Im shooting them at 302 fps and they fly like darts for me, If you like a solid COC head you ow it to yourself to take them for a spin!!!
