My dream hunt would have to be chasing after Alaskan Moose. I keep telling myself eventually I will make it up there.

Bighorn Sheep, one of each species. I apply for a lot of sheep tags each year and i'm getting a pretty good points base. some day it will be my turn. The biggest challenge will be comming up with the money for the Stone and Dall.

Thats right up there for me too! Its almost cheaper just to go to an outfitter and buy the tag. I looked into it and it was a $15,000 hunt...Crazy for one animal...I am going to Africa and hunting ten animals in 14 days for way cheaper than that. Thats including shipping 10 capes and mounting all of them too! But sheep are on a whole diffrent level than sitting in a blind on a water hole!!

Yeah sheep are on a whole new level from most game species both physically and mentally but what a trophy they are! I can't wait till i draw my first tag, It might make all the exercise programs feel worthwhile. haha.

The fact of the matter is, you WILL draw eventually! And if nothing else, the excercise programs are improving your health in the meanwhile...

I would love to try my hand at bear hunting.  We have very few bears in Southwest Missouri so there is no season for them.  But, I want to hunt a big ol' mean bear!

David, Africa would be a dream hunt for me too.  What 10 animals are you going to hunt?  Have you ever been before? If you dont mind me asking, What is the cost?

Eric wants to make sure it was close enough to actually hit.

I think my hunt would be the Tar. Not a gimmy hunt and they would make for an awsome mount.

I have never been. The ten animals are Kudu, Gemsbok, Blesbok, Zebra, Impala(2),Duiker(2) Warthog and the last one is skipping my mind. The trip is $7800 including airfare plus about $1500 for shipping the capes back. Luckily for me a good friend is a taxidermist so it will cost me about $2500 for the ten mounts. Basically a $12,000.00 trip. Not bad for ten animals.

Im not crazy about the exotics and I dont really mind if I ever leave the good old U.S. on a hunting trip. A stalk on a big old bear with the bow would be fun!
