Just wanted to share my recent experience/problem. I switched a few months back from a WB to a shaffer drop away, instantly i reduced my group sizes and was fairly pleased w/ the rest. I didnt like the noise it made or how it sits back in a machined housing similiar to the overdraws of the past. I shoot a lot (cherry valley range is about a mile from my house) and so problems in equipment tend to show up quicker rather than later. I started having tuning problems and couldnt figure it out, I finally pin pointed the problem-the rest-the 17,000 screws on the thing were constantly loosening. Called Ernie at Advantage Archery in Covina and true to form he handled it, he got me changed out to an AAE Avalanche/Cavalier and from the start it was a 1000 times better rest, been shooting it for a few weeks now and love it, quiet, durable and reasonably simple for a drop away. Just wanted to Thank Ernie for helping me out and I know for some of us in so cal it is a further drive than some of the other shops, but his service is second to none.

When my whisker biscuit blew up, (having your whisker biscuit blow up is never a good thing) I asked around about a drop away and some pretty respectable bow hunters suggested the Trophy Taker. I've been pretty happy with it. I put in a 100yd range at my house and haven't been getting down to the CVBH range as much. Let me know when you guys are going and I'll load up the mule with some cold activated cans and meet you down there.

I shoot an AAE drop away too. Its the only one that I have ever shot, and I love it. I keep hearing good and bad things about the WB. I dont think I will ever try it.

Im down to go to the range too...let me know.

I've been shooting the WB for many years and it works great, but does have some drawbacks. It wears out, consistency in accuracy isn't super tight and it tears the crap out of your plastic vanes. This summer I switched tot he QAD Ultra Rest Drop Away and it is the best rest I have ever bought. Took me just a little time to get it attached to the bow (watched the provided DVD) and then hit the range. WIth a half hour I was putting groups inside a saucer (not a dinner plate) at 50 yards. I now shoot out to 60 with it and just ordered another for my other bow. Super quiet, accurate and easy to use.

Anyone want to buy 2 WB's? :)
