Got a new bow, What accessories would you recommend?
Sun, 03/20/2011 - 19:40
I just retired my 12 year old PSE and got a new Diamond Black Ice. The bow is bare so I need everything. There are so many company's that make accessories for bows, so I am lost on what to get. Please let me know what you would recommend. Thanks in advance. |

Congrats on your new purchase. First you have to decide on what you are going to do with the bow. Is it for just hunting, competition or a mix of both? I set my bows up to do a fair share of both. Also you must determine how much you want to spend. Going against the old saying you get what you pay for today you can get some great accesories for some pretty good prices. Some of my favorite accesory manufacturers are Quality Archery Designs Makers of the Ultra rest series of drop away rest. Sword Bow sights. They make some very affordable sights and the quality is superb and they have models for every from the weekend warrior hunter to the hardcore 3d tournament shooter. As far as peep sights I like the red eye peep or either the G5 meta peep. Stabilizers I shoot the dead center archery line. That's the basic stuff I use and stand by. If you have any questions let me know and I will be glad to help.

I really like Spot Hogg sights they've never let me down. Not sure what kind of rest you like but the Limbdriver is good. I'm also using Smooth Stability stabilizers and Harvest Time arrows.
