I have been using a decent headlamp, but I want to get a high-powered one. One that will reach out a bit further. What headlamps do you all recommend and what's the distance the light will reach?

FOREST _ CRAWLER: I have a petzal myo xp  headlamp that i like really well.i don't really know how far it will shine but it throws a(bright) beam for a good distance.it has four different power levels and a flip up lense that makes it throw a wide beam.it runs off of 3aa batteries.they don't reccommend lithium or rechargables in mine but i think you can  use lithiums or rechargeables in the newer ones.i gave 80.00 for mine but see them on sale for $60-65 from time to time.it's hard to go wrong with a petzal. The surefire saint is a great bright headlamp too although expensive, batteries aren't cheap either.

i have a stream light buckmasters trident hp and its pretty sweet. 3 green led's with two light modes(single green led or all 3 led's) and a single power white led thats very bright (enough for me and the 2 people in front of me). and its water proof.
