I have never been the best at 3D shoots. I rely too much on a range finder. When I shoot 3D's I am always happy with a kill shot. If I hit the 12 ring.....there must be some mistake! LOL
During tournament season it's all about the score, so 12's for sure. About mid Aug I change gears, put the long stabilizers away, get the hunting rig set up and start going to shoots for hunting practice and try to make good kill shots.

I'm no tournament shooter but love 3D shoots for practice. I'm too competitive though to not try for the highest score. I am not that great at judging yardage so I always try to shoot for the 10 and hope to get a lucky 12. Actually I'll try and split the 12 and 10 closet to the center of the 10. That way it helps eliminate the chance of missing the 12 and getting an 8.
