A little over an hour ago I was shooting my new Monster MR6(28" 81lbs) everything was going fine. Knocked an arrow (GT XT Hunter 7595 28 1/4" 413 gr total weight), drew back, acquired my target and pulled the release....BOOM!!!!!!. arrow exploded and pieces shot all over the room. I feel a sharp pain in my hand and wrist and instantly said to my buddy "I broke my f*cking wrist" look down to see blood on my wrist and hand. After regrouping and realizing my wrist is ok but extremely swolen with a bad gash and cuts on my hand from the vanes I inspected my bow to find the top bar on my QAD and the drop away portion are busted and the shaft that holds the drop away is noticeably bent. These arrows were purchased just yesterday afternoon. I always flex first and always check for flaws. Just wondering if this is something I will have to foot the bill for or will Gold Tip pick it up for putting out a piece of crap arrow. I am lucky to have gotten away with only superficial wounds, but things could have been much worse. Not sure this will do anything for anyone, but I am not sure I will ever shoot a GT again. There are enough things going through my mind when it comes to shooting, who needs to worry about an arrow exploding....
