Oh ya P.S. we have to start doing more Predator hunting in California guys!! The coyotes and bobcats will diminish our deer and other game population if unchecked!! I just found out today that a doe that has 3 fawns on her on my property in Northern Ca was taken recently by a predator. we are unsure exactly what predator did the initial killing but there was both coyote and cat tracks around the carcass. The 3 fawns that this doe had on her will likely die now because of their young age.  Taken by predators like their mother or by the up coming winter.  I have personally seen the massive decline of mature deer in the X1 and X4 area in the last 10 years. It used to be a regular sight to see 50 to 100 deer together in a field and now you are lucky to see 10. The DFG have also noticed it too in this area because they lowered the number of tags given out for A3 (X1 archery) from 270 in 2009 to only 140 this year in 2010.  With out a doubt in my mind it is due to the stop of Mountain Lion hunting in California.  It is not uncommon now for me to see at least 3 or 4 Lions a year when im out deer hunting. It is a problem that we as hunters have to fix on our own by taking out predator.  If only taken out a hand full of predators out of the area you hunt it will give the population of game a chance to grow instead of declining as i have seen.

If anyone knows of someone that is having a Predator problem in their area please let me know and i will be more then happy to go in and take care of it!!

This is a BIG 2x3 my dad found on our property in X1 taken by predators shortly after archery season in 2009

Beauty of a cat and nice yote, too! Sounds like you guys are having some serious fun up there. Good point about the predator population, too. We ran into a mangy coyote this past weekend just walking down the road.

Well it all started about 23 years ago when i was about 5 years old, shooting birds and squirls with my remington pellet gun.  Fishing was deffenintly on my aggenda also, but as i grew older bowhunting became my passion.  I have always loved a chalenge and there is nothing that fullfills that better than sneeking up on an animal and drawing back my bow at 20 yrds letting one fly straight through the pump station, now thats a rush.  I also love the Lord, and he gives me the patience to make those awesome stalks.  GENESIS 27:3  Now then, get your weapons-your quiver and bow-and go out to the opencountry to hunt some wild game for me.
