ME - Fall 1974.......................................................................NOT 1980... and
is NOT Jim Crumley's Trebark. Not by a long shot.
From the Corporation Records of Bowing Enterprises, Inc. - otherwise now... Jim Crumley's Trebark.
The Mayor in question here.......................................... Remains.... Marion Barry.
The True Father of Tree Bark (or modern) Camouflage - Robert O. Smith - 1932-1982 Muskegon, MI.
Decorated Marine - Employed before his service, and after...as Technical Illustrator at
US Govt. owned (VA Corp.) Continental Motors... later Teledyne Continental Motors, Muskegon, MI.
The firm's Founder... Peter P. Price, (U of M) starts his firm in 1952 after working as an engineer for Boeing Enterprises, Inc. Boeing - Bowing..... Coincidence? NOT.
This...only Pieces and Parts of a document signed and notorized in Oct. 2011. Now considered in it's totality...one they will not be able to escape. First Hand Evidence...Only Decades Later.
Robert O. Smith (the O. is for Otis) and from his H.S. Yearbook, and this, a new one to me...it has been written within... "Robert Otis Cecil Skinner Smith". You see here, the top and bottom different versions. The bottom, more hand drawn, and the top includes more air brushed effects. Many versions evolved before the final screen printed design already shown. Ask yourself this. Why have there NEVER been ANY published photos of what has been described as tye-died, hand drawn, so ugly... it looked like someone threw up on me - versions of the stories of Crumley's Trebark? I will answer you today... There were most likey NONE.
READ THIS... WITH EYES WIDE OPEN. Now after you have seen the above, my guess is that you will remain like me, and within the first time that I ever read this article, I didn't make it through the first paragragh, before I formed my opinion that it was a fabrication. Every Inch, every sentence, every aspect... has been disected and researched to the fullest degree. Many interviews conducted, including one with Crumley himself, and many, if not all...provide conflicting and questionable information.
then READ THIS ONE. See the differences. Put on your Hunter's Cap now...and do your best to do what I do, and read between the lines.
This one... Another Version... from an ad in Bowhunter Mag from 1986, after R.O.Smith is dead and gone. A version NOT told in the current days.
Pay attention to the stories where it states... Crumley places his first 1/8 page ad in the JULY edition of Bowhunter Magazine, when it was really a Bi-Monthly publication, a JUNE/JULY issue, and thisissued during the latter part of the month of May, 1980.
Now today folks... Rest fully assured that it does not stop there. Like I stated in my first post... a story that you may not believe, UNTIL you see the facts. There are mounds and mounds of documentation to back these current claims, and I will adimantly refuse ANY accusations that may come my way, that I am off base with my findings. There is a ton of information already on my facebook page, but there is way more to come.
Now stay tuned... and if the administrators of this site, do not ban me for both speaking my opinion, and presenting what I firmly to believe are facts, and backed by documentation, then I will be back to continue here in the future.
I welcome anyone that may want to contact me directly reagarding these matters.
Good Day all.
one other story before I go. this one has some other info, that others may not. I will consider them all various versions, and this one in particular, I'll consider a story that has been told, and re-told, and modified along the way, and then simply written, and without the writer herself...
DOING HER OWN REAL HOMEWORK!
My interview(s) with her... remain oh so very intersting as well, along with her affilation with the author John E. Phillips.
this image is older, but it represents just some of the documentation that backs my story. I believe that I may be moving to like 16, or 17 cases in total now. (plus other things) All paper copies/documentataion have been digitally photographed and saved, and the same information is scattered and stored in various gun safes (or other) across this country. There remain people that will have my back on this if needed. You would do the same thing if you were in my shoes.
Tonite before I head home from work, I remembered this. Another version a story about where did trebark come from. I feel that it is important now here, to include this with the other links already provided. Together... they consist of what could be conisdered as the vast majority of the available info out there on the subject today. Now because these docs are already produced in such a fashion, I will need to post multiple posts here, and in order to provide the entire version. I will anticpate that at this point, that this will not be considered as spam, or spamming within, and that these next six attachements may be considered as one. The following... a transcript made my me, and from a video interview that once appeared on the Outfittertuff website. I overlooked it in the beginning, but then found my way back to it. I asked as friend to download a copy of it for me, and shorty thereafter... it disappeared from the website completely. I had a gut feeling that this would happen, and I was right. Now I know why it is gone, as seeing it in person is considered by me to be most reveiling. I will plan here in the very near future, to provide a "nutshell" opinion, and as to recap my initial story/concerns here. I hope that it will help anyone that has interest, to more fully understand where I am coming from. Now here... the interview.
This is the last of it. If you want to see a small video clip that I made of this video with my cell phone, and this, while I played it back and fourth on my computer sceeen - and when it was still online, go to youtube and type in the words "camouflage baloney". You will find it there, and you should find it intersting as well. I would recommend watching it more than once, and pay attention to the overall flow, and the body lauguage within. You most likly will realize then, why it was most likely removed in its entirety.
Mark, while I can appreciate your opinion, this seems to be a matter for the courts, not for a forum. I am not a lawyer, but this is something that should have a dedicated website where you can update and control it. We, as consumers, don't control who creates a pattern, nor does it usually matter to us who owns the patent when we buy it. Also, I am not putting Trebark or Treebark down, but I can count the number of people I know who may still wear it on one hand. Is there a point you are trying to make with this?
I'd like to suggest letting the other DIY member actually read what you have posted and comment if they would like before posting more scanned documents.
How do you other guys feel about this? Be great to see what some of you other guys think, too.

I agree Al. I don't think this is the place for all the documentaition and arguement. I understand outrage that you want your father to get credit for the camo but maybe you should consider creating a website for that? Sorry to be a downer but that was 30+ years ago, the past is the past.

Forest Crawler – I appreciate your opinion as well and thank you for such. I believe that you may be correct in the fact that this may well be a matter for “the courts”, but there are
other options as well. The reason, in which I am here today, is because I have had no luck what-so-ever with anyone within the media, or the industry (as far as industry writers/journalists/reporters) and politicians, which have yet to be willing to do anything about my current findings. To me, this shows an overall failure in many areas, and as it seems now, it remains as a continuing effort to conceal what I believe to be the truth in these matters. Your comment about the dedicated website is already in motion. This should happen in the very near future, but until then… I am left to expose my story in any fashion that I can. Even with a dedicated website, I may still find myself using a forum to steer individuals to the story. Let’s face it, it is a public and open forum. My story… even though it remains a controversial one, is no different than anyone elses story, and this as it pertains to the overall industry. My rights within, should also be protected as such. There is no doubt in my mind (and whether one likes it or not) that I maintain a common bond with all hunters, and this…because of my upbringing, and my history as it relates to my father’s ingenuity. I believe that these efforts by me, have been somewhat successful already, and this… by shedding some light within the industry on these matters. With this, I have met my initial objective. Although I have received many negative comments from others (on other related sites), I have also received much support with these matters. I firmly believe that there will remain many out there today, that will find great interest in my story. For instance: a quote from a now un-named person within the industry, and this, sent to me in writing a couple of months back. He/She writes: “My pleasure. I appreciate you taking the time to summarize your story. It's like something out of a Hollywood movie like Conspiracy Theory or Flash of Genius. Unreal. From a journalistic point of view, it's one of those things that begs the question - Is it true? Now what?” My answer was “Yes”, and “only time will tell”. Now this is only one example, and rest assured…there are many more like it.
When you speak of consumers, the word you use as “we”. I believe that you are making a great effort there to speak for all others within the hunting community. This I do not believe is fair. You talk about not caring about a patent, or who makes a product in which one would use, and that may be true for many, but in my opinion here, you are missing the entire point within. Now as far as I am concerned, a man, (or men) that have now gone down in history as revolutionary “bootstrappers”, and that now hold the titles within this industry, and these, additionally appearing in such places as the “Archery Hall of Fame”, well, he (or they) may in fact, not truly deserve this in the first place. This in itself… should matter to all, and regardless of the timing involved. To me, it remains a matter of principle, and I within…remain a man of principle. The decades that have passed since are not relevant to me.
So for the moment here, and this based solely on your post, I will not post anymore documents here, and I will simply now sit back and see what your post may generate within. I would encourage any and all members to do what I suggested in my first post, and check one’s own truth gauge within. I would also encourage anyone that is now seeing any injustice here, to reach deep within ones self, and speak your true mind. Please do not allow yourself to be contained within the minds of others. With this matter, I certainly will not. I will answer to the best of my ability, any questions that may be posed my way, and would still appreciate the opportunity to provide a “nutshell” opinion analysis of this entire situation.
With Respect… M.T. Smith
Outrage, I understand your frustration and I know that you started this thread under "legal issues" but I agree with the rest on here, this is not the place for this issue. I would agree that a website directed soley to this issue would be much more effective than a hunting forum like this. To get the attention of people and to peak their interest in what you have the key is "less is more" don't throw everything at once. Give them bits and peices and then send them to the website dedicated to this issue. Have a place on there to sign a petition or something. You can do so much more and be so much more effective if you have one website dedicated to this and not to overload a hunting forum about it. It's like getting all those SPAM emails that everyone hates and just sends to their spam folder to delete and to never be looked at again. Again Less is more. I would have been a lot more interested if it was a single summary post instead of 25 posts in three days. That is just my opinion....

idahohunter32 - thank you for your post, your interest, and thank you for your opinon. I like your idea of an online petition.
for now... I can simply be conisdered as a one man army - wearing NO camouflage.
on 12/08... a moderator writes to me, and only in part...
