what's up guys? i just wanted to share with you some pics of a buck that i was fortunate enough to chase for almost 2 seasons. you can bet that i tried like heck to kill him but really could have cares less, the oppurtunity to hunt a buck of this caliber and share the same woods with, was plenty enough for me. i named him, "Treetops".... for obvious reasons!!! over a 2 year span i captured nearly 550 pics of this great buck thru trail cam and personal scouting trips.

the first year('06) was tough, fairly elusive buck except for on my trail cam, just never could seem to find him much when scouting for him.come the '07 season, i was on him like white on rice. i could tell you anything and everything about Treetops. when he ate, when he slept, when he farted and when he took a dump. he was much more patternable, altho nothing is 100% in the whitetail world, i was very confident that Treetops was a dead deer walking in the summer of '07. i was so confident that i was going to take him that i even got the game warden involved so that just incase i did kill him, everything would be done perfect and those unfortunate rumors that get started when someone shoots a buck of this caliber gets started, could possibly be eluded.

unfortunately, i left for Colorado on September 13, 2007 to hunt elk, upon returning Treetops had been poached. anyways, here are 5 pics of him. the first 2 are the first ever trail cam pics that i ever got of him in the summer of '06. the last 3 are pics i took of him while scouting him in the summer of '07. i hope that one day i am fortunate enough to chase an animal like this again!!!

Sad to know a Buck like that or any other for that matter falls to hands of a Dirt Bag Poacher!

But on the brighter side he did get his seed around Im sure. Time to look for Treetops JR.

Good Luck This Season!!!
