It was a great weekend for myself. Saturday I got my new bow from Archery Outpost. 2012 G5 Prime Centroid. It is a work of art. My groups where tighter once I got it sighted in, than ever before. I also got a new set of arrows on the way, Gold tip Kinetick XT with Blazers. I was shooting the Gold Tip Expedition Hunters with 4" vanes. After shooting arrows all saturday my buddy and I took off early Sunday moring up to Los Angeles National Forest. We went up Glendora Mt rd/ Ridge rd and scouted about 7 miles of hills, canyons, valleys, and ridges. We did not see a deer, but boy did we see tracks and scat all over. I have never seen this many tracks before. We got a late start, since we had never been to this area before it wasn't  to bad. We were able to get our feet dirty and got out and put some miles on my boots. Now I cant wait for this weekend as im planning on getting a early start to be glassing by grey light. This was a great day out in the sticks.

Great new set up, Brett. Awesome bow! In regards to where you are scouting... I urge caution in stating each place you scout. The more you report, the more hunters you'll find in the area. Just my 2 cents for future outings and on being too specific. Like SMOKE said, let us know when break in that bow!

+1 what FC said, i have seen good areas (which are hard to come by locally) go bad by being overrun.  Case in point, because someone was a little too specific or too friendly ONLINE.  Remember everybody can see these post, not just members.  If you want to talk specifics, send a PM.

Good luck this season.

I know i need to watch what i say. I am a seabass fisherman and lose lips sink ships. I wont be telling to much in my posts. I had just been looking for a little help and i dont want members to think im just looking for a hot spot not willing to do any work.  Im excited to put as many miles on my boots as i can this off seanson. I found the spot i scouted off of an old post on bloody decks so i knew it was not much of a secret. I alos cant wait for your turkey seminar in march Al. Thanks for the replies im looking forward to this season.
