That is NOT normal, the serving is not served on tight enough, but that one is real bad. How long have you had those strings? You get serving separation with a lot of stock strings because they are mass produced and the quality is just not the same, I build custom bowstrings and we have a NO serving separation guarantee along with many other things. When I see strings in that condition I suggest new strings but since those you said are new you should go back and get your money back.
I agree with zslayer, get you money back if you can.

well they only have about 100 arrows through them, and the guy who made them gave me a killer deal on them that was the only reason why i got them and to be specific its the buss cable that is separating. would it be worth it or even possible to have the serving done again? thanx everyone for the info
Ya you could have it reserved, if the guy built them he could just take off your buss then put it back on the string jig and cut it off and start over.
you think it would be safe to shoot shop doesnt open till 11
Personally, I wouldn't risk it. That looks like it's coming off pretty good. I'd be safe and wait until the shop opens.
That is not normal... What kind of cam system is it on? With Single Cam bows that type of wear is often caused by the track biting into the serving...
its on my hoyt turbohawk its the xtr cam and 1/2 system. he did fix it yesterday served it tighter shot about 80 arrows though it today with no problems. crossing my fingers it stays like that. thanx again everyone for your input and help
Do you know what serviing material he is using? HALO has always been good too me...
im not to sure which was the original one he used but i do know he used halo when he did it over
