It wasnt there! Yep, stolen. Ive calmed down by now but boy was i pissed! This wasnt some random public land or a lease but right in the middle of my own little piece of Private land which makes me twice as mad. So on top of the fact that im out a trail camera the fact that I have a trespassing issue is even more upsetting.

Set up another one in the same area(the bait), then set up a hidden one in the tree above it looking down. No one will look up there. Then when you find out that it is your neighbor, knock on his door and punch him in the face for being a DB.

Thats a good idea. A friend of mine also suggested trying to get a hold of one of the chips that they inplant in dogs to track them when they get lost........

I've had lots of troubles with people stealing my stuff as well. I've had treestands stolen, trail cameras, even the first five tree steps up to my stand so when I walked in I couldn't hunt. I do like both suggestions but I have even put up a little sign on the tree that I have my stand that says "smile you are on camera" (even without having one up) i've had the sign stolen but nothing else since. I have also put my trail camera in a bear proof trail camera case that I can put a lock on and lock it around the tree. But that does suck it was on your very own property. I would get a bear proof container, buy a bolt and put a bolt through the container into the tree, and buy a bike lock to chain it to the tree, and then you'll get pictures of the perpetrator.
