Wildgame Innovations S22 trail cam issues
Thu, 07/14/2011 - 05:19
Has anyone else used the Wild Game Innovations S22 2.0MP Trail Camera? You buy it in a 2 pack for around $90. I am dissapointed. The first time it took 3 pics and then the batteries died. The second time took 180 pics in 3 days then died. the third time took 18 pics then died. I was using brand new Duracell batteries. This camera is JUNK!!!! I also used the iR2 2.0 and it worked awesome. It was up for 2 weeks, but a bear knocked it down the first day and it took 1800 pictures of moving clouds. The batteries were only half used. This is a good one. I feel a Gear Review and an email to Wild Game Innovations comming on......... |

Would love to hear what other have experienced. I am having issues with my Wildgame Innovations cam, too. Going to get it up this weekend and hope I have it figured out.

I think I have heard that Wildgame Innovcations Cameras in general have caused a ton of drama... I think that your experiences are very similar.... I switched to Coverts a few years ago and I haven't gone back...

I run WILDVIEW. They are simple toggle switch changes, good on batteries, great pictures, Infrared or flash models, and decent trigger speed. And out of 15, ive only had one fail, and i dropped it on the garage floor!

Eric,
I don't have that model, mine is an X6c or something like that.. I have issues with it also..Sometimes it takes 1200 pictures a day of nothing but shadows or minor wind movement.. Other times when it seems to be taking pictures just fine I get a lot of empty frame photos.. I think the sensor takes too long to signal the camera to shoot the pic and the animal walks right on by before the shot...It's frustrating because I know I am missing game.. I have tried every setting possible, doesn't change the results.. I have a lot of good pics from this cam but there is definately a problem. I too think it's time to contact the maker....

Just pulled my Wildgame Innovations cam yesterday. Left it for three weeks and it took a total of 4 photos. 3 were of me setting it up - right up close. The fourth was me at home. There were tracks on the trail, but no photos. I put a different camera there yesterday. Sick and tired of this one not working all of the time.
