Season Dates:
2011 SPRING TURKEY:
Location:
Kansas offers abundant locations for public access to good turkey hunting. This year lots of hunters have found large populations of birds in central Kansas. Key in on locations in Butler, Morris, Harvey, Reno, Chase and Marion Counties. To view "walk-in" public hunting areas click this link: http://www.kdwp.state.ks.us/news/Hunting/Turkey-Information A great spring trip to Kansas would be to plan a camping trip at Council Grove Lake. The lake offers good white bass & crappie fishing in the spring and there is plenty of public hunting grounds within a short drive. Council Grove is a nice lake in the heart of good turkey hunting. Nonresidents would need: Nonresident Combination Hunt & Fish License: $112.50 Nonresident Turkey Permit $32.50 Nonresident Turkey Game Tag $22.50 (if 2nd turkey is desired) Specific information about tags and licenses may be viewed at: http://www.kdwp.state.ks.us/news/Hunting/Applications-and-Fees/Turkey Good Luck!! |
