About Me

I started hunting with my father when I was a child. My first big game animal was a bull moose at the age of 16. My father taught me good gun hunting skills and ethics and how to hunt mule deer and moose. I started hunting elk after my children started grade school and I competed my BA in Nursing. A few years later my husband took my son and I with him for an archery elk hunt. We called in a 6x6 bull elk for him. It was so exciting, the bull sounded like he was about to burst through the trees right behind my son and I. That is when hunting became a passion for me. My husband took me to the archery range and we bought my first bow. I practiced for the entire year and felt ready for archery hunting season. Huge buck fever when my husband called in that first bull for me. Took 2 attempts to draw my bow and i was shaking so bad I knew I could not make a good shot, so I let down. I have harvested 2 bull elk with my bow since that time. Archery hunting is an obsession for me. Family, the outdoors, and hunting are what my life consists of. I have 2 wonderful children and a great husband. I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BS in Nursing and currently am employed as an Nursing Supervisor at our local hospital, My husband and I hunt all the days we are off work thoughout hunting season. We have been very successful throughout our years of hunting. We frequently donate meat to the unsucessful hunters or families in need of meat. We take new hunters out nearly every hunting season for a great hunting experience.
